- Continuous Improvements of early childhood education through Research and Development.
As educators in a modern world, at Edu1st, we believe that one of our greatest responsibilities is that of instilling in our students a balanced approach to their life. An approach with which each individual uses his or her own wisdom and intelligence to give greater meaning to learning and the things they do. This approach is conducive to our ultimate goal of equipping our students with the necessary tools to lead a Meaningful Life with Balance and Wisdom, a VESS life.
At Edu1st, we understand the difficulty that educators experience when faced with new insights and the reality of their classrooms. In order to breach the divide between theory and practice and give educators the appropriate tools to allow them to achieve the full potential of their educational endeavors, Edu1st has sought out, integrated, designed and implemented a variety of tools that have proven to be effective in helping educators breakdown obsolete paradigms to incorporate change and optimize their job.
With these tools, we are forming from infancy, world citizens with an ethical mind that are able to live a VESS life. These tools generate an impact in teachers, helping them in their own learning process, encouraging a thinking language that enriches the environment where children grow up, and promoting a cultural change that involves children, teachers, parents and the entire community in the creation of cultures of thinking.
Edu1st integrates all these components and presents them to teachers and institutions in a clear, engaging and pleasant manner through the VESS Curriculum.
At our school students become active protagonists in the construction of their knowledge.
Teachers act as facilitators, researchers and learners. The environment facilitates significant, meaningful and provocative experiences.
Learning where to find the information, who to trust and how to validate the sources become major priorities of education.
Education is no longer about knowledge, is about acquiring skills and tools for life to adapt and enjoy the present and prepare for the future. Special skills are required to succeed in this new era. Open mindedness, team work, creativity, media literacy, empathy and ethics are part of the skills we promote.
Education has been concerned with the memorization of concepts. However, what is important is what we do with that knowledge. At our school children learn how to think, develop good thinking habits and work on their thinking dispositions toward learning, to be productive and proactive thinkers.
When a learner discovers knowledge through understanding, what is learned becomes more powerful and gains meaning. At our school the passion for learning is discovered and children become lifelong learners. Therefore we teach for understanding and we encourage children to discover meaning in everything they do.
We not only make a positive difference for the children, but also for parents, educators and the community. The educational process seeks to create knowledgeable thinkers, with ethics, open mindedness and values. Individuals who are capable to adapt rapidly in this evolving world with intellectual, social and moral autonomy. We believe that through education we can make the world a better place.
